Wake Up to Bomb Blasts

As a teacher and a peace activist, Bushra Hyder felt she was doing her part in peacebuilding by being an educator. But, when the bomb blasts in her region became more regular, she realized she needed to do something in her schools to combat the depression that had infiltrated her community. Based on a suggestion from a student, she designed a curriculum and teaching program to educate her students on how to live together peacefully and to minimize extremist thinking. In this clip from 2011, she describes how she was first inspired to work in peacebuilding and some of her success stories.
