In February 2012, Palestinian women government and civil society leaders met to review and update recommendations for implementing UNSCRs 1325 and 1889 in their country, which were first developed at a workshop convened by The Institute for Inclusive Security and MIFTAH in 2010.

These recommendations are grounded in the group’s stated principle that Palestinian women are part of the Palestinian national liberation movement and seek to end occupation, to build a durable and just peace, and to establish a Palestinian state that is based on democratic principles, gender equality, and social justice for all on the 1967 borders with east Jerusalem as the capital.
