At a meeting with the staff of the Institute for Inclusive Security in Cambridge, MA, in April 2011, Leymah Gbowee discussed how she used her experiences as a leader of the peace movement in Liberia to enhance her current role as a leader of West African security sector reform movements. This work led to her receiving the Nobel Peace Prize.
